SUGARFIELD
Arts and Agriculture
residency
Sugarfield offers paid farmhand apprenticeships, artist residencies, and cabin rentals to farm-enthusiastic and farm-curious folks interested in spending some time learning and creating on a working farm.
Our year is divided into sessions based on the seasonal ebb and flow of life on the farm. The Lambing Intensive and Farm Apprenticeships give an immersive, hands-on experience with the daily operations of the farm including feeding and moving animals and field management. These positions are best suited to people that can safely lift 50 lbs. and are comfortable working in all-weather conditions. Apprenticeships could include more hours and more pay if desired.
Arts and Agriculture residencies provide an opportunity to be involved in the daily logistics of the farm, as well as plenty of dedicated time for artistic pursuits. We also offer artist retreats and cabin rentals for those who wish to immerse themselves in the landscape without any farm responsibilities. To get a feel for the farm, please see the Sugarfield Guide to Farm Enjoyment.
When applying please specify which session you are interested in, preferred dates, and length of stay.
